MANDATORY SKILLS
candidates must meet all the requirements below to be considered for the VSE Cobol Developer position.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing VSE Cobol, and CICS.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing DB2.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Vision Report.

ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING CONSULTANT TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

The VSE Cobol Developer shall provide VSE Cobol application design and development consultant services to NYCERS for the completion of NYCERS' ongoing business process improvement program. The following descriptions and deliverables shall apply:

• Role:
  • expanding VSAM fields and files and related tasks.
• Objective:
  • To analyze and improve existing business processes with application automation where possible.
• Deliverables. The VSE Cobol Developer is responsible for the following:
  • Analyze business requirements and design applications.
  • Modify applications improving the existing business processes.
  • Test the resulting modifications.
