Certified Citrix Engineer

MANDATORY SKILLS
candidates must meet all the requirements below to be considered for the Certified Citrix Engineer position.

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting Citrix farms.
• At least one(1) of the following certifications is required: o Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE).
• Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA).
• Experience configuring and managing XenApp 6.5.
• Experience configuring and managing XenDesktop 5.6.
• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities with Windows 7, XenApp and XenDesktop.
• Experience administering Citrix on VMware.
• Solid knowledge and experience with Windows 7 and application delivery/packaging solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including problem resolution and customer service.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or VBScript .

ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING CONSULTANT TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

The Certified Citrix Engineer shall provide support services to NYCERS for the management of their Citrix Environment. The following descriptions and deliverables shall apply:

• Role:
  • Serve as the lead Citrix Engineer.
  • Mentor other staff on best practices administration.
  • Work within an environment governed by Change Management Procedures and Policies, a Configuration Management Database, and Incident/Problem Management Processes.
• Objective:
  • Assist with the conversation of roughly 150 people to VDI.
  • Build up the Help Desk skills sets to be able to manage the Citrix environment.
• Deliverables:
  • Weekly progress reports.
  • Documentation of problem resolutions and best practices.
